The Rarest LEGO Sets and Their Prices

LEGO sets are a brand of building blocks that can be constructed into something meaningful. They are one of the most popular playing toys in today's world. Some sets are rare and exclusively created for certain events, like a convention or a festival.

Some of them used to be originally available for a lower price or even for free. We want to find out which sets are the rarest and if they are still available for free or at an affordable price. The list in this article does not feature all the rarest sets, but features some of the most interesting ones.

Brick Moulding Machine

The first one on our list is the Brick Moulding Machine. The rare set was released in 2021, but was only available in the LEGO House in Denmark. Its price when it was released was around USD 100 at the LEGO House. However, it was worth over USD 400 at other locations. Some companies even sold it for a higher price.

The Set is a moulding machine that is used to create LEGO Bricks. That is why it is a popular option in the LEGO House. It is a great set to display among your LEGO, which was created with a similar machine.

Star Wars Cloud City

Star Wars Cloud City

The Star Wars Cloud City site comes with a handful of minifigs, such as Darth Vader, Luke, Leia, Lando Calrissian, a Stormtrooper, Han Solo, and Boba Fett. The 2003 Cloud City set is based on The Empire Strikes Back.

It is a set packed with minifigs, so it is a bit expensive. Some outlets sell theirs for over USD 5,000. Others may sell for lower or higher prices, depending on the location. The set also comes with the Cloud City platform for your crew to stand on and watch from their collector's box.

The Vault Memory Lane

The Vault Memory Lane, a set from 2024, is relatively new compared to others on our list. It could only be obtained by participating in the LEGO Inside Tour, an exciting three-day event that LEGO hosts to bring guests to exclusive locations.

The tour is expensive, so you can expect to spend thousands of dollars per person. The previous tours in the last few years sold for about USD 3,000 per person. Also, because of the steep price, the vault memory lane can run well past USD 10,000. Henrique Anderson and Stuart Harris also endorsed it.

H.C Andersen's Clumsy Hans

H.C. Andersen's Clumsy Hans is based on the H.C. Anderson story called “Clumsy Hans,” which was released in the mid-1800s. It was also a LEGO Inside Tour set, which was made in a limited edition of 80 and given to participants for free in 2015.

Sets available only on the Inside Tours are more expensive than other LEGO Sets. That explains why H.C. Andersen's Clumsy Hans is worth over USD 4,000.

Exclusive T. Rex

There are only 500 copies of the Exclusive T.Rex in existence. The designers distributed approximately 100 copies as part of a contest at toy stores in Belgium for free.

The Exclusive T Rex is an exciting Jurassic World set that is available for anywhere from USD 7,000 to USD 11,000, depending on the location. Some sets on eBay are still sealed in the box, worth about USD 10,000.

Ole Kirk's House

Ole Kirk's house is a special LEGO set that was only available to LEGO employees in 2012. Every version of the set was originally a Christmas gift for a LEGO employee. The set was free then, but now it is worth anywhere from USD 100 to USD 500. It is relatively cheaper than other sets.

Skull's Eye Schooner

Skull's Eye Schooner is the oldest set on our list. It was released in 1993 and included 912 pieces to create an iconic LEGO pirate ship. The ship can go anywhere from USD 500 to USD 1,500.
